    Can attendance be marked by voice?

    Yes. With Nova on the Staff AI plan, a teacher names only the students who are absent or late. Nova marks the rest present after the teacher confirms. It works by voice or chat, in English, Hindi and Punjabi, and Nova can also open the attendance page for you.

    How do parent absence alerts work?

    Parent absence alerts are WhatsApp messages sent to the guardian when a child is marked absent. They are built and rolling out to schools in phases.

    • One message per family, even with more than one child absent.
    • Sent after a time the school chooses (default 10:30) or immediately.
    • Consent is respected and a STOP reply opts the guardian out.
    • Message templates are available in English, Hindi and Punjabi.
